The film certainly has pulled in its fan's attention with its intriguing plot.

Due to the bloodshed and violent theme of the film, it’s R-rated. The movie primarily features characters from the first few arcade games, with the rivalry between the iconic duo, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero playing their prominent roles. The trailer included an ensemble cast of characters from the video games, including Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim), Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada), Raiden (Tadanobu Asano), Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), and Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee).
