Taylor Swift is the talk of the town as she launched a brand new song called 'You Need to Calm Down' and fans of the singer loved the colourful single. The video is based on the theme of LGBTQ rights and it celebrates gay culture and marriage and it also takes dig at the homophobes. With the help of the video, the singer asked her fans to sign a petition on Change.org that urges the government to pass the Equality Act.

But now, the song is garnering headlines for wrong reasons. Some of the eagle-eyed netizens have noticed some similarities to another popular song called Party. Social media users are claiming that the new Taylor Swift song is quite similar to Beyonce's Party.

One of the Twitter users wrote,"#YouNeedToCalmDown would be a beautiful (yet opportunistic) salute to the LGBT community if it wasn't a direct rip-off of Beyoncé's #Party video." Another posted, "If Taylor Swift wants people to stop accusing her of ripping off Beyoncé, maybe she should quit ripping off Beyoncé. Her whole 'above-ground pool party in a trailer park' vibe cribs a lot of shots from Bey's 'Party' video." Check out the Twitter reactions right here:

This is not the first time Taylor has been accused of copying Beyoncé. For the unversed, Taylor Swift's performance of her song Me! during the Billboard Music Awards was compared to Beyoncé's performance that we saw in the Homecoming documentary. Many thought that there were many similarities.
