Niall Horan REVEALS the reason behind One Direction split up: We were gonna end up killing each other
Niall Horan revealed the main reason as to why One Direction decided to split up in 2015 to focus on solo careers instead. The Nice To Meet Ya singer confessed that if they didn't split, the 1D members would have killed each other.

One Direction formed in 2010 and became one of the biggest boybands the world has ever witnessed. For years, along with multiple chart-topping albums, 1D was unstoppable. However, in 2015, Zayn Malik shocked the Directioners when he announced that he was officially cutting ties with the band. One more album later, the rest of the members - Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan - went on a hiatus for 18 months. It's been three years now but One Direction is yet to reunite.
Talking to The Telegraph is Niall, who spoke candidly about why One Direction decided to split up and focus on solo careers instead. "It was incredible. But we got tired. Not tired of it, just tired out. I can never really remember any major bust-ups, just brotherly family nagging s****y arguments like that," Horan confessed and added, "But we were gonna end up killing each other. We all sat down one day, had a chat and it was like, 'We need to take a break, chill out and try something new.'"
Furthermore, when asked if he would be up for a One Direction reunion now, the 26-year-old revealed, "I'm enjoying what I'm doing, but if one of the lads were to pick up the phone and say, 'It’s time, I’d do it.'"
