The film originally premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 5, 2025, before releasing in the United States on May 15, 2026. Now, it appears that the movie may soon arrive on digital platforms, reportedly in an uncensored version.
When will Obsessions release digitally?
According to Lets Cinema, Obsession is scheduled to release digitally on June 2, 2026. As the movie recently hit theatres in India, it appears that the film may begin streaming online soon. Reportedly, the movie will initially be available on Peacock before later streaming on Netflix. However, the team has not made any official confirmation yet.

Obsession follows Baron “Bear” Bailey, who secretly harbors feelings for his co-worker and friend Nikki Freeman. After his cat passes away, Bear buys a mystical item called the “One Wish Willow,” which supposedly grants a single wish when broken. In a moment of desperation, he wishes for Nikki to love him more than anyone else in the world.
Soon, Nikki becomes obsessively attached to Bear, and the two begin a relationship. However, her behavior quickly turns disturbing and violent. Bear discovers that her emotions and memories have been warped by the wish, leading to increasingly dangerous incidents.
As Nikki’s obsession spirals out of control, Bear learns that the curse can only end if either he or Nikki passes away. Attempts to reverse the wish fail, resulting in a series of tragic and gruesome events.
In the end, Bear attempts to end everything and free Nikki from the curse. However, before he can do so, Nikki uses another wish to force him to love her in return. While he reciprocates, moments later, Bear collapses due to the pills he had taken. Nikki then returns to her real self and breaks down upon witnessing the devastation around her.
