From playing the popular Hogwarts student, Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter franchise (2001-2011) to the sparkling vampire, Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise (2008-2012), Robert Pattinson is now gearing up to become a DC superhero. And not just any superhero, but arguably the most favourite one, Batman! Matt Reeves has cast Robert as the Caped Crusader in his next directorial, The Batman. Rumours are rife that Jonah Hill and Jeffrey Wright are in talks to play Riddler and Commissioner James Gorden, respectively.

Reports suggest that Pattinson will start shooting for The Batman from November 2019 with Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden, as the main location. Before that, the 33-year-old actor is busy promoting his latest release, The Lighthouse, which had a special screening at the 42nd Mill Valley Film Festival in California. Giving us major Bruce Wayne vibes with his fashion choice, Robert looked dapper in an all-black formal attire - suit, shirt, trousers and shoes. It was the smoldering expression attached that had us hooked!

In a recent interview with Esquire UK, Robert got candid about how he can't believe that he gets to be Batman. "It’s kind of insane. I was so far away from ever thinking it was a realistic prospect. I literally do not understand how I’ve got it, at all," Pattinson confessed.

The Batman is slated to release on June 25, 2021.
