Practical Magic 2 Trailer: Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman Reunite for Magical Blend of Sisterhood
Practical Magic 2 has returned after almost 3 decades with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman reprising their roles.
Nearly three decades after Practical Magic became a beloved cult classic, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are returning as the iconic Owens sisters in Practical Magic 2. The makers have unveiled the official trailer for the much-awaited sequel, promising a magical blend of sisterhood, family secrets and dark new challenges. Directed by Susanne Bier and based on Alice Hoffman’s 2021 novel The Book of Magic, the film arrives in theatres on September 11, 2026.

The sequel reunites audiences with Sally and Gillian Owens. Sally, played by Bullock, continues to embrace a quiet life centered around family, baking and steering clear of romance, while Kidman’s free-spirited Gillian is still chasing adventure. Their aunts Franny and Jet, portrayed by Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest, also return, bringing their trademark wisdom.

A New Generation Faces the Family Curse
This time, the story shifts focus to the next generation of Owens women. Sally’s daughters, Kylie and her sister, begin questioning the ominous family legend that has haunted them for years. Kylie is played by Joey King, and her sister, portrayed by Maisie Williams.
Determined to protect their family, Sally and Gillian follow Kylie on her quest, which eventually leads them to London. There, they seek help from a mysterious new character played by Lee Pace.
Along with Harry Nilsson’s “Coconut” and Lana Del Rey’s haunting rendition of “Season of the Witch,” Practical Magic 2 promises a magical, emotional and enchanting return to the world of the Owens family.
