Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor's christening has been the talk of the town surrounding the Royal Family for quite some time now. Prince Harry and Meghan's Markle's son was officially baptized during an extremely private ceremony on Saturday, i.e. July 6, 2019, at the Windsor Castle. Unlike the christening ceremonies of Prince William and Kate Middleton's children, which was a public affair, Harry and Meghan opted for a more private and intimate ceremony. Archie's christening was attended by only 25 family members.

The family members included Prince Charles with wife Camila, Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, Prince William and Kate Middleton as well as Princess Diana's sisters Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram to share two photos from their son's christening. In one, the trio was joined by the rest of the family for an official portrait at the Windsor Castle Green Drawing Room. In another, more candid click, Harry and Meghan are seen cuddling up with baby Archie. The look on Harry's face as he looks at his darling son will warm your heart.

They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment."

Many similarities were drawn between Archie's christening and his father, Harry's christening in 1984. Both were decked in the iconic royal christening gown which is the replica of the Royal Christening Robe and even had the same pose; sitting on their mother's lap while holding their hand and staring off to the distance.
