Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively pulled off a major feat as they managed to keep the birth of their third child a mystery. The Deadpool star and Gossip Girl alum have not yet revealed the name, date or gender of their child. International publications such as People, Us Weekly, and E!News independently confirmed the birth last week. The star couple welcomed baby number three almost two months ago and haven't shared the news ever since. Turns out, there is a thoughtful reason as to why the couple chose to keep this a big secret.

According to a report in Us Weekly, Ryan and Blake are choosing to protect their two kids as well as baby number three in order to give them a normal upbringing. A source revealed, "They do everything they can to make sure the kids have a normal upbringing." Even the months leading up to the child's arrival, Blake Lively remained out of the spotlight and stayed away from social media.

She had only announced her pregnancy in May this year while attending the premiere of husband Ryan's film Pokemon. The couple currently live north of New York in Westchester and lead a quiet life. "Blake has a really great support system there. She has several mom friends and loves having them over for play dates," the source added. Back in 2016, Blake had told Marie Claire, "Ryan had a nice, normal upbringing, and we want our kids to have the same normal life that we had. We don’t ever want to rob them of what we had because then we’d feel really selfish."
