Ryan Reynolds has a massive fan base for some of his best on-screen performances, like his role as the iconic Hal Jordan or ‘Green Lantern’, in Martin Campbell’s 2011 film. With only a month left for the much-awaited release of Justice League, Zack Synder’s ‘Synder Cut’ has taken over the internet. Rumours about Renold’s reappearance in the film started to circulate after a Vanity Fair article was published revealing the action-packed movie will feature an ending with a ‘hero cameo’ that will leave all DC fans speechless.

Unfortunately for Green Lantern fans, Ryan took to his Twitter handle to debunk rumours about his cameo appearance in the forthcoming Synder Cut. Shutting down fan speculations, the actor revealed that he won’t reappear in his role as Hal saying, “Maybe it’s another GL? But for me, the suit stays in the closet. I mean, computer.” Ryan’s response disappointed a lot of fans, who were hopeful of seeing the icon in his suit again. Soon after the report went up, fans started connecting the dots to figure out who it could be. Alas for them, in the actor’s own words, Green Lantern’s suit’s in the closet.

Reynold’s confirmation came nearly six months after he tweeted that he’d “love to be in Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie” and that after he “heard I may already be in it?” Now that fans know that Reynold’s Green Lantern won’t drop by, they can certainly look forward to another surprise-worthy hero. More than a month before the film slated to release and the trailer for Snyder’s Justice League has already gained more than 19 million views on YouTube. Ryan’s recent revelation only resulted in more and more rumours about possible cameo appearances.
