Selena Gomez has been making the headlines for various reasons lately. The 26-year-old singer has been seen promoting her upcoming zombie flicked titled The Dead Don't Die. The songstress turned actress was the movie which also stars Bill Murray in the lead. Selena made her debut on the Cannes 2019 red carpet for the same last month. She was also the talk of the town when it was reported that the Instagram queen, who boasts of 152 million followers currently, subtly removed the picture she posted with her ex-flame Justin Bieber. 

Now, the Come And Get It hitmaker has revealed that social media made her feel depressed. Selena appeared on the recent episode of LIVE With Kelly and Ryan and spoke about the impact of social media had on her. She confessed that not only did it depress her, it also made her look at her body differently. 

"I used to a lot but I think it's just become really unhealthy, I think, personally, for young people, including myself, to spend all of their time fixating on all these comments and letting this stuff in. It was affecting me. It would make me depressed. It would make me feel not good about myself and look at my body differently and all kinds of stuff," she said. Selena also admitted that she no longer has social media apps on her phone. This isn't the first time she spoke up about the unhealthy use of social media. When she appeared on Coach’s Dream It Real podcast, she said, “It is not that healthy to be on [social media] all the time.” Soon after her Cannes debut, Selena deemed social media a danger to our generation.
