Dean Ambrose leaving WWE was one of the biggest controversies of 2019 and what was even more shocking was his entry in AEW (All Elite Wrestling). While the latter is still up and coming, it's gaining major traction as a potential rival for the company. Dean, who is back as Jon Moxley, made his debut at AEW's Double or Nothing PPV when he gatecrashed the main event and beat down both Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega. The wrestler is also a part of the NJPW (New Japan Pro-Wrestling).

Seth Rollins has been very vocal about Jon's departure from WWE and his subsequent AEW debut, since the two are very close, given their history with The Shield. Talking further about how Moxley is now his competition during a media interaction for Summerslam 2019, Seth shared, "Now he's competition, now he's the one trying to take dinner off my table so good on him but we're going to do our best to continue to be the best here at WWE and those guys want to step up to the big leagues to give it a shot? Then by all means but we're going to knock them dead just like we do everybody else."
