Did Iron Man aka Tony Stark die for this? A while ago, Sony confirmed that Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige will no longer be a part of upcoming Spider-Man movies. The production house issued a statement addressing the reports that Disney-Sony deal has soured and as a result, Kevin Feige will no longer be associated with the future Spider-Man movies. In layman language, Spider-Man will no longer be seen the future movies of MCU phase 4. Tom Holland's Spider-Man was seen in three MCU movies apart from his own stand-alone Spider-Man movies.

He was introduced into MCU with Captain America: Civil War and went on to feature in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The teen-superhero won everyone's hearts with his bond with Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark. He also shared an interesting relationship, although it was limited, with Doctor Strange. With just a few movies backing him, Spider-Man has become one of the central characters of the blockbuster superhero franchise.

But unfortunately, we will not witness him crossing paths with Doctor Strange or any other for a while for Disney and Sony's deal has ended. This heartbreaking development has led to a Twitter meltdown.

Fans have taken to social media to reach out to anyone they could, including Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds, hoping to undo this change. It has hit the MCU fans really hard and as a result, the hashtag: #SaveSpiderMan has begun trending on Twitter. Fans are using the hashtag to help send a message to the Mouse House and Sony to reconsider their moves.

The reactions are mixed with references from Avengers: Endgame, previous Spider-Man movies and even Doctor Strange. They also shared reactions with memes featuring Stan Lee.

Check out the reactions below:

According to Deadline, the Disney-Sony deal fell apart due to the change in financial stake the Mouse House wanted. The publication revealed that Disney wanted 50/50 co-fi stake in exchange for Marvel and Feige’s guiding hand over Sony. But it was not acceptable by Sony. Reacting to the deal falling apart, Sony Pictures issued a statement which read, "Much of today’s news about Spider-Man has mischaracterized recent discussions about Kevin Feige’s involvement in the franchise. We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have him continue as a lead producer of our next live action Spider-Man film.”

While the dynamics have changed, Sony hopes that things "might change in the future."
