Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is one of the highly-awaited releases of December 2019, and plans to own the box-office on a domestic and global level as well. The J.J. Abrams directorial is being promoted as the 'end' to a beloved saga that boosts of a fandom, which had passed over several generations. While Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac return one last time, Episode IX will also feature the late Carrie Fisher as the much loved Princess Leia.

And there won't be any CGI usage for her inclusion in the film. Rather, JJ made use of the eight-minute unused footage of Fisher's from Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). While speaking to Esquire, Abrams was asked about Carrie's family's reaction to the actress being a part of The Rise of Skywalker. To this, the filmmaker shared that it's not his place to talk about it. However, JJ added that nothing has been more important to him than making sure that what he did with Episode IX would make Carrie happy with and proud of. Abrams truly feels that he has accomplished his mission.

The Force will always be with Princess Leia!
