Martin Scorsese has stirred up a giant debate regarding Marvel movies which has cooker up several polarising reactions from both fans and celebrities. For the uninitiated, The Irishman director was asked about his take on such films to which the Oscar-winning director stated that for him, Marvel movies were like "theme parks" and "not cinema." Scorsese's comments were not taken too kindly with many MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) actors like Robert Downy Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Natalie Portman hitting back at the renowned filmmaker.

The Suicide Squad star Viola Davis is the latest celebrity to voice her opinion on the entire debate. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the How To Get Away With Murder star likes a good Marvel and DC Comics movie. Furthermore, Viola shared that her imagination defined her and that art lives in that world of imagination. "It’s not up to anyone to say what deserves to be there and what doesn’t deserve to be there. It’s anything that you want to be in that place can live there," David countered and added that that's the reason why we have some of the greatest painters, actors and writers.

"I think he was voicing his opinion. I think it’s valid. Everyone had a place, an opinion. But I like a good Marvel movie," the 54-year-old actress relayed to THR.
