Directed by Craig Gillespie and penned by Ana Nogueira, Supergirl marks a high-stakes entry in James Gunn and Peter Safran's DC Universe (DCU). This entertainer presents a different version of Milly Alcock than what the audience has ever seen before.

As of now, scores of fans have already watched the movie online. Hence, they decided to flood social media with their two cents about the American superhero film.

Taking to Twitter (now X), a user penned, “Supergirl was awesome btw. And I'm sure some loser will repost this and laugh about how I enjoyed something. Sorry I'm allowed to enjoy something. Also no one is paying me.  Because if someone paid me. I can clearly quit my part time job, pay bills and go on vacation.”

Sharing their review of the film, another one penned, “just got out of #supergirl and it was incredible. there is genuinely no reason it should be rated that poorly by critics other than the deep-rooted misogyny that seems to be a pattern amongst viewers in female led superhero films.”

Inspired by the critically acclaimed comic book run Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, the film showcases survival and resilience. While her famous cousin, Clark Kent, was raised by the loving Kents on Earth, Kara's upbringing was defined by pure survival. She spent her first fourteen years witnessing the slow demise of everyone around her.

This traumatic backstory shapes Supergirl into a much harsher, emotionally complex, and scarred protagonist. Played by House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock, Kara is showcased as a protector on a journey fuelled by vengeance.

The entertainer also stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet, and Jason Momoa.
