Swifties assemble for Taylor Swift has dropped her new song Lover. The song, which is the title track of her upcoming album, has been teased for a while now. The new song has been one of the most anticipated songs from her new album for it would spill some beans on her secretive relationship with Joe Alwyn. The international pop singer and the British actor have been together for three years but have stayed away from the spotlight. The new song seems to offer some interesting insights into Swift and Alwyn's relationship.

Last week, Taylor's Vogue interview already teased that the lyrics tease a possible wedding. Swifties went gaga thinking that Taylor might announce her engagement around the time of the song. And now, we have learned that there is more than a wedding being teased. There is a reference to a proposal, her trips to the UK, her three summers love and more. The 29-year-old singer dropped the lyrical video of the song and revealed that the video will be released next week. The song is by far Taylor's most personal song and we are already listening to it on loop.

Check out the video and the lyrics below:

Lover:

We could leave the Christmas lights up 'til January

This is our place, we make the rules

And there's a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you dear

Have I known you 20 seconds or 20 years?

[Chorus]

Can I go where you go?

Can we always be this close forever and ever?

And ah, take me out, and take me home

You're my, my, my, my lover

We could let our friends crash in the living room

This is our place, we make the call

And I'm highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you

I've loved you three summers now, honey, but I want 'em all

Can I go where you go?

Can we always be this close forever and ever?

And ah, take me out, and take me home (Forever and ever)

You're my, my, my, my lover

Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand?

With every guitar string scar on my hand

I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover

My heart’s been borrowed and yours has been blue

All’s well that ends well to end up with you

Swear to be overdramatic and true to my lover

And you'll save all your dirtiest jokes for me

And at every table, I'll save you a seat, lover

Can I go where you go?

Can we always be this close forever and ever?

And ah, take me out, and take me home (Forever and ever)

You're my, my, my, my

Oh, you're my, my, my, my

Darling, you're my, my, my, my lover

Do you think Taylor Swift is hinting at a possible engagement? Sources have told Us Weekly earlier this year that Joe might pop the question soon. “Taylor’s friends are all talking about a proposal and how she really wants to marry Joe. He’s her dream guy," the insider said. Do you think it has happened? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
