Before there was a Scooter Braun, there was Kim Kardashian and Kanye West! Taylor Swift has had her fair share of feuds in the recent past but none escalated as badly as the one with Kimye. For the uninitiated, Kanye's 2016 track Famous' lyrics had a very raunchy reference to Taylor. The You Need To Calm Down singer stated back then that she had not approved of these lyrics. In a bid to defend her husband, Kim shared audio clips of the conversation between Swift and West, which confirmed that she was aware of the lyrics.

It's been three years since, and Taylor is commenting on the now-infamous feud, whose aftermath saw the Internet try to cancel T-Swift. Swift got candid with Vogue about how she feels that most people don't understand what it's like to have millions of people hate you very loudly and send you messages to "either shut up, disappear, or it could also be perceived as Kill yourself." Furthermore, Taylor added, "I realized I needed to restructure my life because it felt completely out of control... I needed to make music about it because I knew it was the only way I could survive it."

"It was the only way I could preserve my mental health and also tell the story of what it’s like to go through something so humiliating," Swift concluded.
