Taylor Swift and Katy Perry were embroiled in a feud for several years before the latter sent an olive branch to T-Swift in 2018. The apology was accepted by the Shake It Off singer but the two even met in person to clear the air. The singing sensations have definitely patched up as evidenced by the music video for Taylor's latest single, You Need To Calm Down. While Swift was dressed in a French Fries costume, Katy was seen dressed as a hamburger.

Talking about Perry in her interview with Vogue, Taylor revealed that their meeting led to a conversation that lasted for hours. "We decided the metaphor for what happens in the media is they pick two people and it's like they're pouring gasoline all over the floor. All that needs to happen is one false move, one false word, one misunderstanding, and a match is lit and dropped. That’s what happened with us," Swift shared. Furthermore, for them both, 'Katy or Taylor?', 'Taylor or Katy?' is what engulfed the headlines and that led to heightened tensions and thinking that the other person has something against you.

A happy meal

"There are so many ways in which this album feels like a new beginning. This album is really a love letter to love, in all of it's maddening, passionate, exciting, enchanting, horrific, tragic, wonderful glory," Swift gushed to Variety.
