Almost a week ago, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe broke into celebrations after Marvel Studios and Sony reunited for a new deal. The two production houses declared Tom Holland's Spider-Man would return to MCU for two more movies. Several actors, including Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo and Hobbs & Shaw star Dwayne Johnson, joined Holland and Zendaya in celebrating Spider-Man's return. But how did Walt Disney, Marvel and Sony conjured the new deal? Turns out, Holland had a lot to do with it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Holland was the catalyst between the two studios which led to his two-movie deal with the Mouse House. In true underdog-Peter Parker style, Holland revealed that he made "multiple appeals" to the studios requesting to find a mid-way. A source revealed that the 23-year-old star reached out to Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger and Sony film chairman Tom Rothman requesting them to find a resolution. His appeal led to the announcement on September 27.

On Friday, it was announced that Marvel chief Kevin Feige will join Spider-Man 3 from the creative point. Disney will contribute 25 percent of the budget and earn 25 percent of nett gross from Spider-Man 3. Following the new deal announcement, Holland celebrated his return in the quirkiest way possible. He shared a clip from Leonardo DiCaprio's Wolf of Wall Street and declared that Spider-Man is not going anywhere.
