Seven years ago, three FCW prospects came together to form a brotherhood, that will be spoken about for decades. Forming a faction to give the present and past stars a run for their money were Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Referring to themselves as The Shield, the Hounds of Justice burst into the big leagues when they ambushed Ryback at Survivor Series 2012. Within a few weeks, the trio had gold around their waists as they laid to waste several WWE superstars crossing their paths like John Cena and The Rock.

It's been seven years since that monumental moment as The Shield has been through thick and thin ever since, with multiple championship wins and extraordinary feuds; either alongside or even against each other. However, Dean Ambrose kissed WWE goodbye in May 2019 and joined the rival company AEW as Jon Moxley, hence putting an untimely end to the beloved faction. Roman took to his Twitter page to commemorate the special occasion, giving a shoutout to both his brothers, who have become like family to him. Seth retweeted Reigns' tweet with their trademark Shield fist emoticon.

What's interesting to note is that Jon has been MIA when it comes to celebrating seven years of Shield as he's been pretty active on Twitter lately, since joining AEW.

Meanwhile, during an earlier chat with Sports Illustrated, Reigns spoke candidly about Moxley's departure from WWE sharing, "I don’t think our working relationship is going to be what it used to be, but I’ll always love that guy, he’ll always be my close friend, and I wish the best for him. I wish the best for him, his family, his wife, and we’ll always be friends for the rest of our lives."
