Last week, before Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's return on the premiere episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX, Randy had issued a challenge to The Great One, via Twitter, for a one-on-one dream match at Wrestlemania 36. "How about you & I have a discussion about who’s the greatest 3rd generation of all time and we answer that question April 5th in Tampa At Wrestlemania 36," Randy had tweeted. Furthermore, when he didn't get a reply from Dwayne, Orton enlisted John Cena's help to convince his Hollywood buddy.

"Miss you @JohnCena. ps: Can you talk to @TheRock and see what his #wrestlemania plans are for 2020? Asking for a friend," RKO tweeted with some hilarious photos attached. Finally, The Rock took to his Twitter account to react to the 39-year-old wrestler's challenge in the most hilarious manner. The Hobbs & Shaw star responded, "U think Bob O Sr & Chief Maivia along with our pops’ Bob Jr & the Soulman ran up and down those roads for decades taking bumps just so we can sell out WM36 so you can RKO my ass thru the earth. My body’s still recovering from that Evolution beatdown you gave me at WM20."

Meanwhile, Johnson took to his Instagram page to send his love to WWE for his appearance at last week's Friday Night Smackdown. "Love you, my @wwe universe family. My honor to forever be the one and only, People’s Champion," The Rock wrote and sent a message to Baron Corbin as well, which reads as, "You gotta lot of talent and potential as we discussed. Keep working hard to hone your craft, always entertain the fans and when it’s time to be a bad MF. Be a bad MF. And tell @wwe props to always make sure you have more than one crown."

On the other hand, Randy wrestled Ali at Hell in a Cell 2019 and emerged victorious in spite of a valiant effort by his contender.
