This week's Monday Night Raw took place at Madison Square Garden and was pumping with excitement because of the eagerly-awaited return of WWE Hall of Famer, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Along with Mr. 3:16, we also saw the return of Rey Mysterio, RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley as well as a 10-man tag-team main event which included the WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins, one-half of Raw Tag-Team Champion Braun Strowman and the United States Champion AJ Styles.

In spite of the impressive lineup, Raw ratings continue to dwindle down. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, Raw averaged 2.13 million viewers this week, which was a 15.4% drop from last week's Raw. It also marked the second-lowest audience from the modern era for what was a non-holiday show. In comparison, we had the first week of Monday Night Football for NFL's 2019 season with Texas vs. Saints drawing in 13.08 million viewers and Raiders vs. Broncos bringing home 10.62 million viewers.

The highest number of viewers in this week's Raw was brought by the first hour of the live-televised three-hour episode, which included Stone Cold kickstarting the show with a contract signing between Seth and Braun for their Clash of Champions Universal Championship match. The signing was rudely interrupted by AJ and The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson). However, Styles became a victim of the classic Stunner, courtesy of Steve Austin!
