WWE Royal Rumble 2021 Results: Edge and Bianca Belair reign supreme; Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens enthrals fans

Before WWE Universe embarked on the road to Wrestlemania 37, we had the epic Royal Rumble 2021 to give us company and what a night of wrestling it was for diehard fans. Before the main festivities, the Kickoff match saw Women's Tag Team Champions Asuka and Charlotte defending their titles against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. While both Ric Flair and Lacey Evans appeared to provide the distraction, the WWE Hall of Famer gave the latter a knuckle duster which she used to hit Charlotte in her face.

Taking advantage of the situation, Jax pinned The Queen and won the tag titles for her team. In the next extremely brief match, we had Drew McIntyre take on Goldberg, defending his WWE Championship. In the ending few moments, The Scottish Psychopath swiftly dodged a Spear and smashed Goldberg with a deadly second Claymore to retain his championship. The two wrestlers shook hands as a mark of respect. During the SmackDown Women's Championship bout, Reginald tried his best to aide Carmella but Sasha Banks aka The Boss was too skilled to be taken lightly. The current champion continued her reign by making Carmella tap out to the Bank Statement.

Coming to the highly-awaited Women's Royal Rumble, the final four included Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Natalya and Charlotte. The first to go was Nattie, courtesy of Belair while the latter teamed up with Ripley to get rid of Charlotte. The two fan-favourites went toe-to-toe before Belair eliminated Ripley as the last woman standing and in the process, booked her titled shot at Wrestlemania 37. In what was definitely one of the major highlights of the night, we had Roman Reigns defending his Universal Championship against Kevin Owens in a hellish Last Man Standing Match, with Paul Heyman in close quarters. No matter how resilient KO was, The Tribal Chief eventually choked him with a Guillotine to pick up the impressive win.

Finally, we had the Men's Royal Rumble which saw Edge and Randy Orton kickstart things off as No. 1 and No. 2 entrants respectively. Interestingly, at No. 28, we saw the return of Seth Rollins aka The Monday Night Messiah. The final few moments saw Edge, Orton, Rollins, Christian and Braun Strowman fighting tooth and nail with Edge and Christian being able to get rid of The Monster Amongst Men. While Rollins got Christian out of the game, Edge took out Seth. Even though Randy hit a classic RKO out of nowhere, The Rated-R Superstar still managed to eliminate Orton to be crowned the winner and thus, sealing his fate for a big-ticket match at Wrestlemania 37.
