Zelda Williams, Elijah Wood and Chris Evans CRITICISE CGI Casting of Late James Dean in Finding Jack

Magic City films announced on Wednesday that for their next film ‘Finding Jack’, they’re going to resurrect late James Dean. After this, the whole Hollywood fraternity is in a state of shock and criticized the move heavily.

This is not the first time when we are talking about a backlash after the announcement of a late star’s resurrection for a film. In the past, we have seen that Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, Bruce Lee, Paul Walker, and many others getting created by CGI. It has been a subject of debate in Hollywood for some years now and this recent news of Dean being created by CGI for Finding Jack has ignited that fiery debate again. Chris Evans and Elijah Wood have led the line of furious Hollywood stars on the internet.


The plot of the film is going to bring take us back into the time of the Vietnam war as it is adapted from Gareth Crocker’s novel. The focus is going to be on the abandonment of almost 10,000 military dogs right at the end of the Vietnam war by the soldiers. It is going to be directed by Tati Golykh and Anton Ernst, the two have taken permission from James’s family before using the actor’s image. But, almost every Hollywood star has shown his anger over this decision.

Daughter of late Robbie Williams, Zelda Williams is one of the notable stars who has shown her immense sadness over this news. Zelda has written on Twitter that, "I have talked to friends about this for YEARS and no one ever believed me that the industry would stoop this low once tech got better. Publicity stunt or not, this is puppeteering the dead for their 'clout' alone and it sets such an awful precedent for the future of performance."
