India’s selection committee head, MSK Prasad on Sunday finally opened up on the controversial Ambati Rayudud Tweet. The ex-cricketer said that it was a ‘timely’ one and he ‘enjoyed’ it.

"Coming back to the tweet, frankly speaking, that was a lovely tweet, I really enjoyed it." "Seriously, it was a very timely one. I don't know how it struck him but I really enjoyed it," He told reporters after India’s squad announcement for the upcoming West Indies tour.

Rayudu recently announced a sudden retirement from all forms of cricket after being overlooked for the World Cup squad. The right-handed batsman had earlier taken a jibe at selectors for not picking him in the final 15.

"Just Ordered a new set of 3d glasses to watch the world cup." Rayudu Tweeted on April 16, probably citing towards Prasad’s explanation for sidelining him for all-rounder Vijay Shankar.

Meanwhile, India made some bold decisions while picking the teams for the Windies tour. Captain Kohli decided not to take any rest while Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya were rested. Opener Rohit Sharma made it to all the three squads while Shikhar Dhawan is also set to return in action.
