The Afghanistan cricket team were involved in an altercation at a restaurant at Manchester a day before their game with England at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. 

According to BBC, team members of the squad were having dinner when they took offense to being filmed. They then confronted the member of the public, following which an ugly spat broke out. The police had to be called. 

The Manchester Police did confirm that they had to attend Akbar's restaurant shortly after 11.15pm local time to douse out a spat. 

Shortly after 11.15pm on Monday 17 June 2019, police were called to reports of an altercation at a premises on Liverpool Road in Manchester," said a GMP statement.

"Officers attended the scene. No one was injured and no arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing." 

Afghanistan faced a massive defeat against England, lsoing by 150 runs. Eoin Morgan was the star of the game as he smashed 148 runs, including hitting seven sixes off Rashid Khan. Afghanistan did try to put up a fight but were curtailed to 247.
