David Warner who smashed a brilliant 107 off 111 deliveries is seen in a tremendous form in the World Cup. He completed his one year ban from international cricket and made a splendid comeback with his exceptional form. On Wednesday, June 12, the opening batsman registered his first century after the ban and also mentioned that it means a lot to him as a batsman.

David Warner, who was also the Man of the Match, said in the post match presentation that since there was a bit of movement early on, he had to be a lot tighter. He mentioned that this century means a lot to him as a batsman. He said that the bowlers were fantastic and it was a great game of cricket overall.

Warner also credited his wife and kids and revealed that they kept him going. He mentioned that his wife is a strong woman and helped him get back to running and training in the first 12 weeks. He credited his wife to be his rock and said that she is extremely disciplined, determined and selfless.

Steve Smith and David Warner were both banned from international cricket for a year before their made their comeback in this tournament. They were booed by the crowd at several occasions. However, they have let their bat and their exceptional cricketing skills do the talking and will now only focus on winning maximum matches for the Australian cricket team.

Australia won their match against the Men in Green by 41 runs and will play their next against Sri Lanka on June 15.
