Indian pacer, Mohammed Shami, who has been in an exceptional form in the last two matches for the Men in Blue, says that he deserves all the credit for this brilliant turnover in his career. Since past one and half year, Shami struggled to fight the accusations for domestic violence and was also made to step down from BCCI central contract list pending inquiry. He was ruled out of the team on issues relating to fitness and struggled and fought hard to make a comeback in ICC World Cup 2019.

Talking about his performance in the last two games, Shami said that he deserves all the credit for his form because he had to endure all that he was made to go through. Shami also stated that it was him who had to suffer in the past 18 months, and therefore, the credit shall go to him. He thanked the almighty for giving him the strength to fight everything, right from his family issues to his fitness. He also mentioned that right now he is only focused on doing well for his country.

Regarding the yo-yo test, he said that it is not just about failing the test, but there are times when your rhythm goes for a toss. Shami has worked hard on his fitness in these past 18 months and the results can be easily seen on the field. The Indian bowler also added that he’s in a good zone currently and tries to maintain his diet and training regime consistently. Talking about his skills, Shami said that as far as his skills are concerned, he always knew that he can perform well on any track.
