ICC World Cup 2019: Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed furious with India getting batting friendly pitches

Sarfaraz's claims, however, seem baseless as Pakistan played against England on a flat track while India will be playing on a green one against New Zealand tomorrow.

Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is apparently disappointed with the wickets that the Indian Cricket Team have played on so far in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Ahead of their game with Australia at Taunton, where a pace-friendly pitch was prepared, Sarfaraz voiced his disappointment as India have received batting wickets so far, with Team Pakistan getting green and bouncy wickets.

The Men in Green were bundled out for only 105 against the Windies in their opening game of the event on a wicket that was lively and had movement for the swing bowlers. Seven batters from Pakistan succumbed to bouncers bowled by the Windies fast bowlers that had Jason Holder, Oshane Thomas and Andre Russell.

According to a newspaper distributed at Taunton, "Jang", Sarfaraz was disappointed that India always gets good batting surfaces.

“The captain has been wondering as to why the Indians always get wickets which are good for batting and also suitable for spinners. Such wickets suit Asian teams. However, the Pakistan team is almost always made to play on more challenging surfaces in ICC events like the one at Taunton,” a source close to Sarfaraz was quoted as saying in Geo News.

However, the team played on a flat surface against Englanbd where they made close to 350 runs, while India's next game against New Zealand is likely to be played on a track that will have plenty of help for the seamers.
