Even though the Men in Blue have performed exceptionally well in the on-going World Cup tournament, the team struggled in the past few matches as far as their middle order is concerned in the batting department. Indian team that will face the Black Caps at Manchester tomorrow haven’t played against New Zealand in the tournament as their match in the league stage was abandoned due to rain.

However, India’s batting coach, Sanjay Bangar pointed out that India played a full series in New Zealand not too long ago. He also mentioned that the team is just keen to get on to play the semi-finals as soon as possible and they just need to keep doing the things they are doing at this moment. “We have always maintained that we are looking at our internal parameters. If we are hitting our internal indicators, then we will be playing at our best and that is what we aspire to do,” added Bangar.

Indian team’s batting line-up is heavily dependent on the Indian opener, Rohit Sharma who has smashed five centuries in this tournament and skipper, Virat Kohli. However, according to Sanjay Bangar, Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni have played a role in the team’s batting as well along with Rishabh Pant who has had a few good knocks in the tournament. “As long as we are getting the job done it really augurs well for the team,” he added.
