Shikhar Dhawan who has been ruled out of the ICC World Cup 2019 tournament for a few games post his thumb injuries took to Twitter to express his emotions in a poetic manner. He tweeted a few lines by renowned Urdu poet, Rahat Indori. He tweeted as,

“Kabhi mehek ki tarah hum gulon se udte hain...
Kabhi dhuyein ki tarah hum parbaton se udte hain...
Ye kainchiyaan humein udne se khaak rokengi...
Ke hum paron se nahin hoslon se udte hain...
#DrRahatIndori Ji”.

This Indian opening batsman smashed a brilliant century against the Aussies before fracturing his thumb ahead of the game against the Black Caps. He is kept under observation with Team India’s physiotherapist Patrick Farhart for now. Commonly known as Gabbar, this Indian cricketer will look forward to recover as soon as possible in order to join the team in the remaining matches of the World Cup tournament.

However, the fans showered the Indian batsman with love and best wishes. Let’s have a look at few of the tweets.

The Indian team will receive a huge blow as both the openers were in a tremendous form in the first two games of tournament. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan both managed to score a century in the two games played by the Men in the Blue. However, with Shikhar out of the squad, there will be pressure on the middle order and skipper Virat Kohli and opening batsman Rohit Sharma will take on the extra responsibility to provide the team stability in the start.
