Team India suffered a major setback when their star opener Shikhar Dhawan suffered a thumb fracture, which ruled him out for at least three weeks. Former wicket-keeper of the side Kiran More suggested, however, that the Men in Blue should not panic as they have enough firepower in their ranks.

"Dhawan's injury is a huge loss to Indian team. But India shouldn't be worrying. They have players who can fit in well in the required slots," More told TimesofIndia.com in an exclusive interview.

"I know Shikhar is a big match player and has done well in ICC tournaments. My advice for Kohli will be to bring in KL Rahul as opener. He is the best option for the opening slot. He is the best man to replace Dhawan as an opener," More said.

The left-hander Dhawan scored 117 in the game against Australia off only 109 balls. He was hit on the thumb by a Pat Cummins delivery but batted through pain.

More further stated that the Indian management should try Karthik at number 4. "For me, Karthik can do well at No. 4. He is the best suited for that position. He can bat, field and if needed can keep too. Virat should ask Rahul to open and take Karthik at No. 4', More said.

Karthik has played some crucial and match-winning innings' in T20Is, but has been inconsistent in ODIs. However, it is hoped that the KKR skipper can take on the responsibilities with ease.
