After two consecutive wins in this tournament, the Indian team will look forward to register their third one by defeating the Black Caps. This Virat Kohli led side displayed a balanced performance in their previous two games and emerged victorious. However, the absence of their opening batsman, Shikhar Dhawan can hamper the team’s top-order in the game. Let’s have a look at their key players.

Virat Kohli- Virat Kohli played a crucial role in the game against the Aussies. Though Shikhar Dhawan’s century helped India with a steady start to reach the total of 352, it was Virat Kohli’s 82 runs off 77 balls that provided the team much needed stability in the middle. The absence of one of their key players and openers will put more pressure on the skipper.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar- Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been in a tremendous form in both the games played in the tournament and claimed 3 wickets in the previous match. In his 10 overs, he managed to give only 50 runs making him the most economical bowler for the team. Against the Proteas, he claimed 2 wickets and gave away 44 runs in his 10 overs spell.
Jasprit Bumrah- Just as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, this right arm fast bowler claimed 2 wickets in the first game and 3 in the second against Aussies. Despite playing his first 50-over World Cup tournament, he’s the most reliable bowler in the team and an integral part of the team’s bowling line-up. He’ll play an important role in picking up crucial wickets along with keeping the run rate in check.
