After rain forced the first semi-final of the World Cup 2019 between India and New Zealand into the Reserve Day (today), the Indian bowlers bowled well upfront to reduce the Kiwis to only 239 runs.

Only 46.1 overs were possible in the first innings of the game yesterday after the Black Caps won the toss and opted to bat. They had managed to make 211 for 5 before rain came pouring down and forced the match to be continued today.

With 23 balls to go in their innings, the Kiwi batters walked out to bat today with intent, but a good bowling spell from Bhuvi and Bumrah, along with a couple of good fielding efforts from Ravindra Jadeja restricted them to less than 240.

Team India need 240 in 50 overs to qualify for their fourth World Cup final.
