Red Velvet fans can finally take a sigh of relief as the group will be returning this year. SM Entertainment has officially confirmed that Red Velvet is gearing up for a highly anticipated full-group comeback this August.
Red Velvet gears up to make a full group comeback in 2026
Red Velvet remains one of the most loved South Korean girl groups that have entertained K-pop fans. But sadly, after June 2024, there were no more group tracks that were released. Well, it’s time to rejoice because the ladies are returning back on the scene!
Sports Chosun reported that the group is working on a happening project to mark their electrifying comeback. The announcement marks a major milestone for the iconic singers. This project will be Red Velvet’s first full-group release in over two years, following the monumental success of their 10th-anniversary mini-album, Cosmic, in June 2024.
Known for their legendary summer anthems like Red Flavor, Power Up, and Umpah Umpah, Red Velvet’s return to an August release schedule has fans counting days.
While SM Entertainment kept details hidden, they simply stated that the group is preparing for a new album with the goal of a comeback in August. "Red Velvet is preparing for a full-group comeback to return in August. We ask for your continued interest and anticipation,” the agency shared.
Red Velvet has built an unparalleled legacy in K-pop through their bright, quirky, pop-centric side and the smooth velvet side.
Even after years of staying away from the limelight as a group, Red Velvet remains an untouchable, proving that the five-member powerhouse has loyal fans waiting for them. For the unversed, the group originally debuted in 2014 with the four-member line-up of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, and Joy. Yeri joined them in March 2015.
