Making history seems like an everyday thing for the K-Pop megastars, BTS. They were the first K-pop artists to be nominated for a Grammy Award in November with ‘Dynamite’ in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. They were also the first K-pop act to perform at the Grammys AND the first K-pop act to even present an award at the Grammys!

Well, if you’re a fan of BTS (just like us), you know whatever SUGA says, SUGA gets. And we believe getting a chance to perform at the Grammys Virtual Concert inches them closer to their (hopeful & deserved) win of a Grammy award! Even in an interview with Vanity Fair, when asked about their feelings on being listed in the nominations, Jimin said that the Band’s name was written in the middle of the list, and that’s why he thinks that the song would win!

The Recording Academy’s MusiCares is a virtual concert and a fundraiser that aims to put ‘Music on a Mission’ by supporting the music community in need across the globe. Alongside BTS, artists such as John Legend, Bruce Springsteen, H.E.R, Usher, and more will also be performing at the Grammy Week event happening on 12th March 2021.

Here's the official tweet!

After reading this news, here are some tweets that perfectly express what we feel!

However, we also have some mixed reactions from ARMYs. As the MusiCares concert is a fundraiser and a part of the Recording Academy, many fans think that it’s not justified till BTS gets an actual solo stage at the Grammys Award Ceremony. They do appreciate the gesture and the team caring for the music community, but not if it costs the band a solo performance stage at the official award night.

BTS have been incredible influencers in spreading awareness for social causes. Whether it be their anti-bullying campaign #ENDViolence campaign with UNICEF or the LOVE MYSELF campaign for raising funds to support youth victims of school, domestic and sexual violence. So them taking part in another cause, that supports the music community, has definitely added another medal to their list of supporting social causes!
