According to recent Korean media reports, he is allegedly preparing to venture into the high-octane action space with his upcoming K-drama, The Destroyer of Destruction. Read on to know more!
Is Lee Do Hyun set to play an action hero in his next?
According to Soompi, Lee Do Hyun is currently in talks to take on the male lead role in the upcoming action thriller K-drama tentatively titled The Destroyer of Destruction.
After speculations around the same reached its height, his agency, Yuehua Entertainment, confirmed the casting offer on June 22, 2026, stating “It is true that her has received an offer for the project.”
If he accepts, Lee Do Hyun will portray an executioner. Through a series of unexpected events, his character joins a specialized protection team.
The character is described as protecting victims through extreme, unconventional methods, promising fans intense stunts and a major transformation from the actor’s previous roles.
The project has already raised significant excitement due to the team. The Destroyer of Destruction is set to be helmed by veteran filmmaker Shin Kyung-soo, credited for The First Responders, Six Flying Dragons, and The Nokdu Flower, to name a few.
Since finishing his mandatory service, Lee Do Hyun has been exceptionally selective yet incredibly active. The Destroyer of Destruction adds to an increasingly diverse portfolio of post-military projects that include Grand Galaxy Hotel and Let's Shake Our Sun.
