Love Alarm to Extraordinary You: 5 Kdrama worlds we wish we could be a part of

K-Dramas have always been insanely brilliant at creating new worlds, parallel universes and alternate realities. Supernatural dramas are always smash-hits, perhaps for the reason that they provide a form of escapism to viewers. As a matter of fact, it works perfectly well for that purpose. However, not all alternate worlds created in K-Dramas might be ideal for survival. For example, if you were to be stranded smack dab in the middle of an apocalypse in 'Sweet Home', it might not be as fan as you'd thought. Appreciating the world-building is one thing but living in it is another. On the other hand, there are quite a few K-Dramas whose world would be an absolute delight to live in!

Here are 5 K-Drama worlds we wish we could be a part of!

Extraordinary You

While SF9's Rowoon, who plays Haru in this drama, does look like he walked straight out of a manhwa (Korean comic/webtoon), wouldn't it be fun to walk into one for a change? Extraordinary You tells the story of manhwa characters who gain sentience and develop a conscience and as such, have to navigate their world as orchestrated by the author despite their own personal feelings. Despite all the roadblocks the author places in their lives. they persevere, find love and eventually a happily-ever-after ending.

Goblin

A world with handsome deities walking among us and listening to people in need? Sign us up! Sometimes, the world may feel gloomy and hopeless but the reassurance of knowing that there's someone listening and the fact that they're also insanely handsome is a bonus that we all deserve. At the same time, Goblin's world implies that fate and destiny are powerful forces and while this may not always be good news, it's not that bad either. It might be a challenge to live in Goblin's world but it would be fun nonetheless.

Love Alarm

Who hasn't wished that they could download the Love Alarm app despite all its setbacks? For the sole reason of this app's existence, Love Alarm's world becomes a lucrative one to be a part of. Besides, who doesn't want to go to the same school as Sun Oh, Hye Young, Jo Jo and Gul Mi?

The King: Eternal Monarch

A world where interdimensional travel exists, multiple portals to multiple dimensions are accessible and one of those dimensions has a King who's otherworldly handsome? Say no more! The King: Eternal Monarch sure mastered the concept of world-building, creating a version of Korea, called the Kingdom of Corea in the drama which is as benevolent as it is lucrative. As if South Korea itself wasn't perfect enough, the Kingdom of Corea is simply ideal.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo

This one needs no introduction or explanation. Time travel, handsome princes and the most gorgeous outfits, Scarlet Heart Ryeo is a sageuk drama lover's paradise. While the world itself isn't the kindest and the series of events that transpire, not that optimistic, it would be an adventure nonetheless.
