On Sunday, February 21, 2021, the main vocalist of K-Pop boy The Boyz, New, appeared on MBC's mystery music program King of Masked Singer. In the final match of round one, there were two singers who competed using Snowman and Snow Duck masks. The two competed by singing Lee Ji Hoon's duet song "Doll". Although both delivered impressive performances on stage, Snow Duck finally took the lead with a score of 15 against 6 and advanced to the next round.

Before removing his mask, Snowman sang Ali's "Eraser". He then took off his mask and revealed his identity as The Boyz' main vocalist New. He expressed his desire for appearing on the show by saying that as a singer, one wants to appear on 'King of Masked Singer' at least once in their life. He further shared that there were only a few chances for him to have his voice heard, so he really liked that part. He also said that he hopes The Boyz can grow even more in 2021, so that they can repay the love they have received so far. Sandara Park was especially stunned by his performance and even said that New had a voice that could make one go weak in the knees.
