MS Dhoni struggled to score runs at a brisk pace against the Afghanistan spinners and was stumped off Rashid Khan's bowling for 28 off 52 deliveries in the 45th over.

This was only the second time that the former Indian Skipper was stumped in his one-day international career. The first occurrence was way back in 2011, when India took on West Indies in a World Cup game at Chennai.

By the end of 44 overs, Team India had only posted 192 runs on the board. With only six overs left, MS Dhoni felt the need to improve the run rate. He decided to take on Afghanistan's premier spinner Rashid Khan. Dhoni charged down the wicket to a delivery which was fast outside off. It turned away from him and Afghan Wicketkeeper Ikram Ali Khil whipped the bails off.

MS Dhoni who has been criticized for playing slow innings in the past, was once again at the centre of trolls. Let us have a look at some of the tweets:

Earlier in the day, Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to bat first. Barring Virat Kohl who made 67 off 63 deliveries, no other batsmen managed to score runs freely. There were some handy contributions from KL Rahul and Vijay Shankar who made 30 and 29 respectively. With the scoreboard reading 135 for 4 in 30.3 overs, Kedar Jadhav arrived at the crease and stitched together for a 57 run partnership off 84 balls with MS Dhoni when the team required an aggressive approach from the two. They eventually posted 224 in their allotted fifty overs with Kedar Jadhav making 52.
