Hence, it comes as no surprise that Modern Love Season 2 is in the works.

Giving 'star-studded cast' an even bigger meaning, Modern Love Season 2 will star Kit Harington and Garrett Hedlund, who recently embraced parenthood for the very first time, along with Lucy Boynton, Anna Paquin and Minnie Driver. If you're thinking that's all, you're wrong as Gbenga Akinnagbe, Susan Blackwell, Tom Burke, Zoe Chao, Maria Dizzia, newcomer Grace Edwards, Dominique Fishback, Kathryn Gallagher, Telci Huynh, Nikki M. James, Aparna Nancherla, Larry Owens, Zane Pais, Isaac Powell, Ben Rappaport, Milan Ray, Jack Reynor, Miranda Richardson, Marquis Rodriguez, James Scully, Zuzanna Szadkowski, Lulu Wilson, Don Wycherley, and Jeena Yi will also be a part of the second instalment as well.

Modern Love showrunner, director, writer and executive producer John Carney shared in a statement, "We’re so excited to bring a second season of this series to life, and give an opportunity to really shine a light on what matters most. With so much uncertainty in our current world, these stories bring truth and love to people everywhere and I’m so appreciative to be a part of making that happen."

Additionally, John Crowley of Brooklyn fame, Marta Cunningham of Insecure fame, Jesse Peretz of Glow fame, and Andrew Rannells of Black Monday fame will also direct episodes of Modern Love Season 2 with Celine Held and Logan George of Topside fame co-directing an episode. The episode Rannells will direct is based upon a personal essay that he penned for The New York Times column.
