England’s leggie, Adil Rashid is hopeful of continuing his good touch after doing well in the semi-final against Australia. The tweaker scalped a three-wicket-haul, helping England post a big win when it mattered the most.

Rashid was seen as England’s trump cards before the start of the tournament, however, the spinner failed to live up to the expectations. He didn’t produce consistent performances. Though team management showed confidence in him and Adil made sure to not prove them wrong.

Talking to media ahead of final against New Zealand, Adil Rashid said,

At the beginning of the tournament, I couldn't believe it. It's been a good journey in the World Cup. The ups, the downs as well. Some interesting times. We've played good cricket the past three games and now to be in a position where we can win it, it's a good feeling,"

"It's obviously nice to get a few wickets. If I didn't get any wickets but we won the game then that's what counts. It's nice to contribute to a game, a semi-final as well. Hopefully, I can carry that on.” Rashid was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

The hosts will doubtlessly enter the finals as favourites, however, one can’t rule out New Zealand after they stunned India in the semis.
