Tulsi Kumar wins Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award, dedicates it to father

Singer Tulsi Kumar was honored with the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award for 'Melodious Voice of the year' on August 26, 2015 at Delhi. This award has previously been won by musical veterans Daler Mehndi & Alka Yagnik. 
 
Tulsi, who just lent her voice for the latest recreation of 'Ae Mere Humsafar' from the film 'All Is Well' earlier sung by Alka Yagnik, considers this award to be a major milestone achievement in her career.
 
Tulsi’s numerous chart busters include 'Tum Jo Aaye' from ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’ with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan , 'Love Mera Hit Hit' from 'Billu' , 'Humko Pyaar Hua' and 'Meri Adaa' from 'Ready', 'Saanson Ne' from 'Dabangg 2, ‘Hum Marr Jaayenge' from 'Aashiqui 2' to among others.
 
Tulsi got on to twitter and also expressed her happiness on winning the award. She posted, "Won Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award today for melodic voice of the year.I would like to thank all music composers I have worked with... To name few @ipritamofficial, @The_AnuMalik, @Mithoon11, Himesh Reshammiya, @jeetmusic.... And also my idols @mangeshkarlata ji, @ashabhosale ji and @sonunigam. I owe this to all of you."
 
She further added, "I dedicate my award to my father and my inspiration Shri Gulshan Kumarji."
