Coldplay’s Chris Martin recently appeared on a TV show Today and spilled beans on many interesting details about him.

The band’s frontman as we know is a philanthropist and revealed that he donates 10 percent of his earnings to the charity.

Guitarist Jonny Buckland who also accompanied Chris on the show quipped, " Ten percent of Chris' pocket money goes to charity,"

Talking about it the 39-year-old candidly narrated an incident from his childhood about how he was always taught by his mother to help the needy.

He recalled, “I used to get 10 pence pocket money. The first time she gave me nine, I was like, ‘What is this?’ (And my mother was like), ‘Get used to it, son.”

“Mum still gives me three pounds a week,” he added.

Notably, the entire band takes their donations very seriously and shares ten percent of their $475 million net worth with 28 social groups.
