Tubelight starring Salman Khan is all set to release on June 23, 2017. Helmed by Kabir Khan, the movie is inspired by the Hollywood film Little Boy.
Set amidst the backdrop of the Indo-China war 1971, it beautifully captures the emotions of brotherhood oh-so-beautifully.
Sharing a still of the two brothers on Twitter, Salman captioned it as, "Ice Cream break!" In the picture, Salman and Sohail are seen holding an ice cream and flaunting their smile.
Talking about the movie, in an interview, Salman said, "The film was an emotional journey and I felt emotionally drained after shooting some of the scenes that narrate that my brother is no more."
"I am a limited performer and everybody knows that, but because Sohail was playing my brother, maybe that's why I was feeling very emotional. In fact, during the dubbing of the film also, being a grown up man, my tears were coming up... it was really bad! And coming from us (Pathans) is really bad," he added.
Talking about Salman's performance in the movie, Kabir Khan in an earlier interview said that this is Salman's best performance till date.
Kabir recently revealed that Sohail was not his first choice to play Salman's brother. However, Salman was keen on working with Sohail because it would be easy to translate their equation as brothers on screen too. "I wanted to be really comfortable, and honestly, with Sohail, I didn’t need to act too much. The emotions came automatically. So when you see the tears in the film, sometimes, they are my own emotions as a brother," reveals Salman.
Tubelight is produced by Salma Khan & Salman Khan and directed by Kabir Khan. It also stars Sohail Khan and Zhu Zhu in pivotal roles. It is co-produced by Amar Butala.
