83: Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's much anticipated sports drama to hit theatres on June 4, 2021

Just two days ago, YRF announced the release date of not one but five of its upcoming movies much to the excitement of the fans. This was followed by many other filmmakers announcing the release dates of their respective projects. With the government authorities allowing 100% occupancy in theatres, the makers have shifted their focus to the big screens again and hence, the new announcements! Now, the release date of yet another movie has been announced on social media.
We are talking about 83 here which is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Ranveer Singh who plays the lead role in the sports drama has taken to his Instagram handle and announced the release date of the same. So, it is going to be released on June 4, 2021. Talking about the same, he writes, “in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. See you in cinemas !!!” The actor also shared the official poster of the movie.

For the unversed, Ranveer Singh plays the role of former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev. Moreover, Deepika Padukone plays his on-screen wife Romi Dev in the same. Apart from them, 83 also features Tahir Raj Bhasin, Pankaj Tripathi, Harrdy Sandhu, Amrita Puri, Sahil Khattar, Jiiva, Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem, and Boman Irani in the lead roles. The sports drama has been directed by Kabir Khan. The movie has been co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Its release date was also delayed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
