‘83 star Ranveer Singh’s fan event in Birmingham postponed due to unknown reason; new date yet to be announced

Ranveer Singh had announced a fan event in Birmingham in association with organisers where people would get a chance to meet him and know his struggle. However, a day ahead of the event, the organisers announced the postponement of the event. Read on.

Fans of Ranveer Singh were extremely excited for September 1, 2019, as a fan event was all set to take place in Birmingham, UK where the ‘83 star would be getting up close and personal about his journey in Bollywood. However, a shocking news came a day ahead of Ranveer’s meet and greet event. The organisers announced that the event has been postponed and a further date of the same is yet to be announced. While Ranveer is currently in the UK for shooting ‘83, fans often run into him in the city as well. 

As per the organisers’ Instagram post, the event ‘An Evening with Ranveer Singh’ stood postponed and the ones who bought tickets would get a refund as well. However, many wanted to know the reason behind the sad news since they were looking forward to the evening with the Gully Boy star. As per several reports, speculations are rife that the event might have been postponed as Ranveer may be busy with shooting ‘83. It was earlier reported that the event was  scheduled after the completion of the shoot of Ranveer’s sports drama.

The organisers wrote in an Instagram post, “Groundshaker UK regrets to inform you that due to unforeseen and unavoidable operational reasons, the event “An Evening with Ranveer Singh” has had to be postponed. We regret the inconvenience that this may cause you and deeply apologise for the same. Anyone who has purchased tickets for this event you will receive a full refund. Our sincere apologies again to everyone who were looking forward to attending the show this weekend. Meanwhile, Ranveer will be seen in Kabir Khan’s sports drama, ‘83 as Kapil Dev. The film is based on India’s first World Cup victory back in 1983 and stars various actors like Sahil Khatter, Jatin Sarna, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Ammy Virk, Hardy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi and more. Deepika Padukone also joined the cast and will be seen playing Romi Dev in the film. Deepika and Ranveer have been spotted hanging out in the city several times. ‘83 is slated to release on April 10, 2020.
