Lipstick Under My Burkha, directed by Alankrita Srivastava is one of the best Hindi films we saw in 2017. The film received a lot of positive reviews and even the performances were hailed by the audience and the critics. Actress Aahana Kumra was one of the leads of the film and impressed everyone with her bold and powerful act.

The actress recently gave an interview to Zoom TV in which she revealed that while she was shooting for the film, producer Prakash Jha had passed a comment that made her uncomfortable. Aahana Kumar shared, "I remember once Mr Jha walked in and there was a scene, where I am filming the sex that is happening. Then Mr Jha walked in on the set and he passed a remark and it was so uncomfortable to hear that from him. I just went to Alankrita (Srivastava) and said 'he is not my director why he is on the set and why I have to hear a remark from him, with all due respect he is a producer."

Aahana further shared that the director politely asked Prakash Jha to leave the sets and he left. She said that Jha understood that they were not comfortable having him around. The actress stated, "He just politely left and that's really nice of him."

Lipstick Under My Burkha also starred Ratna Pathak, Konkona Sen Sharma, Plabita Borthakur and Vikrant Massey.

I think Prakash Jha is a quite good director and maybe he had some opinions that maybe he thought would improvise the scene? He’s producing the movie which means his money is involved. Of course he has the rights to say things if he wants. I know it’s 2019 but sex scenes will be judged no matter what era it is. If she chose to do it, be prepared for some bad remarks.

if he respected it and left the sets for her then why is she making a big deal out of it now? stop defaming people unnecessarily till it can actually jeopardize someone’s career.

She’s saying he made a comment in the middle of a sex scene. Yes he left however he could have kept his mouth shut she probably felt quite vulnerable.

It was a bloody good movie and actually more enjoyable than Veere de wedding.
