Aamir Khan who had quit the film Mogul which is based on the life of music genius Gulshan Kumar is back on the project. Aamir Khan in an interview with Hindustan Times has said that he and his wife Kiran Rao had a very deep concern and a discussion about the film when accusation against Subhash Kapoor had come to light. Aamir Khan is a strong supporter of the MeToo movement, he has been very vocal of the movement and has made sure that he and his company has zero tolerance for such cases and those found guilty of MeToo accusations.      

The director Subhash Kapoor had faced accusations of sexual harassment and Aamir Khan had chose to step away from the film Mogul. Now, the actor is back on the film. Aamir Khan was earlier associated with the film as a producer but now he will also essay the lead part in the film Mogul. As per the reports in Hindustan Times, the actor had offered the role to Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan and Kapil Sharma. Unfortunately, none of the actors could agree to play the role of Gulshan Kumar in the film Mogul. Now, in an interview with Hindustan Times, the Lagaan actor admits that he will be essaying the role of Gulshan Kumar in the film Mogul.

When Aamir Khan was asked about what changed his mind about coming back to the film Mogul, he said that the case against Subhash Kapoor could not be investigated under the ICC (Internal Complaints Committee). The Taare Zameen Par actor also added that he had received a letter from the IFTDA (Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association) to allow Subhash Kapoor to work till his case reaches a conclusion.
