Aamir Khan on Thugs of Hindostan: The journey has been special and memorable for me

Thugs of Hindostan starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif releases today. It is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.

The Diwali release of this year is Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan. The film marks Aamir and director Vijay Krishna Acharya's second collaboration. Aamir and Viktor earlier worked together for Dhoom 3 (2013). Thugs of Hindostan will also have Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan sharing the screen space together for the first time. Dangal actress Fatima Sana Shaikh also plays an important character in the film. This is her second Bollywood film and also second film with Aamir Khan after Dangal (2016). Katrina Kaif plays the role of a dancer named Suraiyya in ToH.
 
The film is set during 1795, and it is a story of how Britishers invaded India and the war that took place in the sea. It's a fictional story in which Aamir Khan plays the role of a thug. When the trailer came out, it received a mixed response and people started comparing it will Pirates of the Caribbean. Even Aamir Khan's look was compared to Johnny Depp's character Jack Sparrow. The film hits the film today, and yesterday, the superstar took to his Twitter page to share a long note in which he thanked everyone - from the director to the hair stylist for making the film come true.
 
In his tweet, Aamir mentioned that working on the film has been a special and memorable journey for him.

Thugs of Hindostan is Aamir Khan's Diwali release after a gap of 22 years. It would be interesting to know whether the king of box office manages to add another blockbuster to his list or not.
